The Curriculum and Textbook Committees of the Atlantic Union Conference and the North American Division Office of Education attempt to keep abreast with the changing needs of the elementary school curriculum and new developments in textbooks.

They recommend changes that they consider best in the light of the total program. The textbooks listed in this publication have been officially adopted by the Atlantic Union Conference K-12 Board of Education for the current school year, and are to be used in elementary schools in the Atlantic Union Conference unless specific arrangements have been made for alternatives.
