Bermuda Conference"Loaves and fishes" food drive hailed a resounding success (BDA)
A drive to collect food for needy families resulted in more than $15,000 of food donations and more than 200 families receiving hampers. The Hamilton Seventh-day Adventist Church announced yesterday that “Operation Five Loaves and Two Fish” was a huge success, surpassing its goal of helping 150 families. On Friday, Oct. 14 around 4:30 p.m., Alvarez-Muniz was driving with her mother, Lidia Duran, to go pick grapes in the countryside. According to the police report, Alvarez-Muniz was driving east when the accident occurred at the intersection of Dean’s Hill Road and M-140 in Berrien Center. After several months of talks with Washington Adventist University (WAU) to operate a branch campus at Atlantic Union College (AUC), the Board of Trustees for AUC in a meeting on Wednesday, October 5, voted to suspend any further negotiations at this time after the institutions were unable to reach an operating agreement. Atlantic Union Youth and Young Adults Respond to Disaster in Vermont
When we heard the news that the Northeast United States would be affected by Hurricane Irene, the Atlantic Union Youth Ministries department reached out to the Atlantic Union Adventist Community Services department and its director, Pierre Omeler, and offered the help of youth and young adults for the relief efforts during the storm and its aftermath.
